I assembled it alone and found it a breeze. It is very sturdy and has held up to daily use. The pieces for the 'cubbies' have come apart a couple of times, but are easily re-inserted.Its footprint is very small yet it holds so much! Previously we had a chest that took up a lot more room and the girls would end up having to take everything out in order to find a shoe or a piece of jewelry. The carousel is compartmentalized - a place for shoes, a place to hang up clothing several cubbies and shelves for purses and jewelry etc, so everything is a lot more accessible. It also helps in them being able to put everything away in its rightful place. The girls love it and have used it daily since we purchased it (they LOVE dress-up!). Exceptionally durable! The instructions for putting together are a bit off, but once together, there is no way this is coming apart. The girls love it, but the pegs are a bit close together. Suggest purchasing some hangers to go with it. Plenty of room for dress up shoes, wands, tiaras, jewelry and other accessories.
